Youth sports are starting to come back to Rock Island. The Rock Island Parks and Recreation department announced that registration is now open for mini youth sports skills outdoor camps.

Registration is now open for mini youth sports skills outdoor camps. All programs will be limited to small groups and have safety guidelines in place.

Camps that kids can sign up for include:

  • Basketball skills camp
  • Baseball skills camp
  • Softball skills camp
  • Soccer skills camp
  • XC/Running skills camp
  • Pickleball skills camp
  • Tennis skills camp

Parents can register their kid(s) online at www.rigov.org/epark, or by calling (309) 732-7275 during the weekdays between 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

According to the Rock Island Department Parks and Recreation department, camps are limited to 9 or less participants with safety guidelines in place. Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment and water bottle. The say it is strongly encouraged that participants have their temperatures taken before attending. If a child's temperature is over 100 degrees, they ask that the child does not attend the camp.
