4,400, NorthPark Mall Without Power on Black Friday

UPDATE: According to a tweet from MidAmerican sent to B100's Andrew Ball, power was restored at 8:24 a.m. Crews repaired a faulty piece of equipment on a feeder line.

ORIGINAL STORY: A power outage around 7a.m. Friday morning left thousands in the dark.

Nearly 4,400 MidAmerican customers and NorthPark Mall lost power during Black Friday shopping.

At 8:01 a.m., in a tweet to B100's Andrew Ball, MidAmerican reported, "Line mechanics and distribution crews were dispatched. Working to restore power quickly and safely in central DAV area."
