This will put a damper on Christmas for a lot of QC residents.

Wyfells Tree Farm in Moline is one of the only cut-your-own Christmas tree farms in the area, but unfortunately, the farm will not be opening this season, according to the QC Times.

The reason? They just don't have a big enough inventory of tall trees, due to a drought that hit the farm in 2012. Trees are currently averaging 5 feet and the owner will not sell them at that height.

The Wyffels family, who have been operating the popular tree farm since 1993, know that customers are disappointed. They will still be selling handmade wreaths and Christmas decor this year.

And luckily, the closure isn't permanent. Wyffels plans to reopen next year, since their crop of trees should grow about 18 inches by next fall.
