October may be Breast Cancer Awareness month, but who says that's the only time to be thinking about and helping those affected by it? This weekend, Hy-Vee is making sure to keep the fight going. On February 2, the Avenue of the Cities Hy-Vee is hosting Get Pink'd.

The event is one of many that happen through Project Pink'd, an organization that "provides tools, resources and a strong network to strengthen and renew the mind, body and spirit of breast cancer survivors in Nebraska and Western Iowa," according to their website.

The event is family-friendly and will run from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, according to WQAD. While there, attendees can sing karaoke, play breast cancer themed games, win prizes, and get a caricature drawing done. As an added bonus, anyone who wears pink to the fundraiser will be able to enter into a 50/50 raffle drawing.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
