Accident at Middle Rd. and I-74

UPDATE: The vehicle involved in the accident hit an electrical pole, bringing down power lines.

A passenger was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted.

There is no word on injuries, but the ramp is still closed.

ORIGINAL STORY: An accident at I-74 and Middle Road in Bettendorf has snarled traffic.

Iowa Department of Transportation says the accident has closed the Middle Road eastbound on I-74.
