Another brick and mortar retail store is about to bite the dust. Yesterday, Omaha, Nebraska-based Gordmans is preparing for bankruptcy.

According to Bloomberg.com:

the filing could come as soon as this month, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the process isn’t public. Shares of the Omaha, Nebraska-based company have fallen more than 75 percent in the past year, battered by losses in five of the last six quarters.

According to their website: In 2012, Forbes Magazine ranked Gordmans No. 29 on its list of America's 100 best small-cap companies based on sales and earnings growth.

Gordmans has 106 stores span 22 states, with two stores in the Quad Cities located in Davenport and Moline. There are also stores in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, and two in the Peoria area. No word on the future of these stores as of yet.
