"Expect the unexpected," a line from Grumpy Old Men that I try to live by because if there's one thing I've learned, it's that if something can go wrong - it will.

For an example in my life:

Of course the one time I ride the elevator in my building without my cell phone, it gets stuck and I'm just standing there like 'yup, you're an idiot, Olivia.'

Like something out of a movie.

Davenport North High School had a similarly unfortunately incident happen this past weekend (although no elevators or cursing were involved) at Mt. Pleasant's show choir competition when all of the lights went out during their performance.

"What happens next?" You ask? Nothing terrible. Nobody breaks a leg, falls off stage, they students really kept their cool - and so did the audience!

Friends and family members sitting and watching the students sprung into action by snagging their cell phones and shining the lights in the direction of the stage. Seriously, it was so quick, it almost looked rehearsed! See for yourself at the 13:27 mark.

The video has already received over 53,000 views on YouTube.

And in true performer fashion, the show went on! Great work, Davenport North!
