Celebrate Cinco De Mayo In The Quad Cities
Cinco de Mayo is a day to commemorate Mexico's victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla, not Mexico's Independence (you can celebrate that on Sept. 16).
In America, it's also known as a day to pig out on tacos, chips and salsa, margaritas and cervezas.
This year, Cinco de Mayo falls on a Thursday (so please do your research before sharing that meme again on Facebook) which means, celebrations start on May 5th and go through the weekend. My kind of party.
