Today, March 14, 2018, is the 30th Anniversary of Pi Day. "Pi represents the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter" according to Time magazine. That's great. However I don't think I'll ever consider Pi when digging into a French Silk Pie, a pizza pie, a pot pie, or Frito's chili pie. Speaking of food, isn't getting a discount on a pizza pie or a free slice of pie more interesting anyway?

Thank goodness for Pi day, because there are offers out there celebrating Pi day and you don't have to be a math whiz to take advantage of them. USA Today is reporting that many pizza places have deals going today. The one I noticed that we can take advantage of is:

  • Papa Murphy's is offering a large, one topping, thin crust pizza for $3.14 if you order on line.

If pizza pie isn't your thing, how about pie? The kind you can get for dessert with a hot cup of coffee.

  • Village Inn is offering $2 off their pies today and tomorrow. Plus today's free pie Wednesday so if you're dining in you can enjoy a free slice of pie until 10PM. There are some conditions on the free pie slice so check it out before you go.

I myself am looking forward to pie for dessert tonight. I say treat yourself!
