Clinton Special Education Teacher Arrested, Accused of Sexual Contact With Student UPDATED

According to WQAD the Clinton Police Department is opening an investigation following accusations of a middle school teacher having sexual contact with a student.

An arrest warrant drafted by Clinton Police, with assistance from the Fulton Police Department lead to the arrest of 40-year-old Christopher J. Nielson, for sexual abuse in the 3rd degree, a class ‘C’ felony.

Nielson was arrested in Fulton and jailed in Whiteside County on Friday, May 20, but refused repatriation and was transferred to the Clinton County Jail on Monday, May 23.

Nielson was listed on the Clinton Middle School directory as a special education teacher.

He is accused of having a sexual contact with a 15-year-old student. The case is under investigation by the Clinton Police Department. Anyone with any information is asked to call Clinton Police at 563-243-1458.
