Davenport Cafe Named Best Coffee Shop In Iowa

Insider recently compiled a list of the best coffee shops in each state, and our very own Cafe d'Marie was the winner for Iowa. The website chose each top coffee spot based on Yelp reviews. Here are some of the five star reviews of Cafe d'Marie, along with some photos taken by Instagram users:

"This has been on my list of places to try for awhile. It was a little tricky to get into using my crutches, but I was able to navigate the 4 steps or so get into the cafe. Once inside we were promptly seated. We had vanilla latte, and earl grey tea, and my friend said the tea was the best tea she's had since she studied in England. Cream of asparagus soup was delicious and the blueberry quiche was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Service was fast and friendly. Atmosphere was perfect for lingering and catching up with friends. I can't wait to go back with my family."

"One of our favorite QC spots.  Unique setting in a historic house and out-of-this-world pastries and lunch food.  We were so surprised when we discovered this family-run gem.  Over the years we've tried the cinnamon rolls, quiche, panini, and various coffee drinks.  We never would have known about Café d'Marie if it weren't for Yelp and we've tried to spread the word to as many locals as possible."

I have still yet to visit Cafe d'Marie, but after reading so many rave reviews, I think I have to make it a priority to visit ASAP. The cafe's coffee, food, and atmosphere all look amazing.
