Davenport Community School District students now have a opportunity to enter a field that is in high demand before they leave high school.

According to KWQC.com, Davenport students can now in a new CNA program at West High School. The best part is...it's free!

Through this program, Davenport students are able to enroll and get a jump start to a career in medicine

The program runs for nine weeks, and the students will earn college credits through Scott Community College. Those who finish the course can take a certification test and start their path in the medical field.

Maybe we could end up with the next Doogie Howser, MD?
