DCFS Involved After a QC Toddler Was Left Home Alone

Local News 4 reports that an investigation is underway regarding a child left home alone in East Moline.

The East Moline PD responded to a call yesterday morning about a toddler left alone in an apartment located at the 1200 block of 49th Ave. Court. The mother reportedly arrived back at the apartment, where she was confronted by police. The toddler was alone for about 30 minutes.

The Department of Child and Family Services was contacted by the East Moline PD following the incident. No charges have been filed against the mother, but DCFS is currently looking into the matter.
