I don't remember much from junior high, but I do remember one thing very clearly: the square dancing unit in gym class.

We all had it at some point right? Somewhere in the realm of 6th grade to 9th grade, school boards thought that square dancing was a vital skill set we needed to have. It was a goofy unit, but it did give you the chance to dance with your crush and THAT was worth every do-si-do.

Now, you can relive that experience, but with a bit more willingness! Solo Steppers Square Dance Club will be offering square dance lessons with Doug Sprosty starting Monday, Sept. 17 from 7-9 p.m. at Community of Hope Church in Davenport.

You can come by yourself or with your sweetheart, you could even bring the whole family! The first lesson is free, but any lessons after will be $5. For questions, call 563-289-4019 or 309-787-3724.
