Do You Remember The Slurpee Song?

It's July 11th, aka 7/11. Hopefully you've taken advantage of Free Slurpie Day and are keeping cool. As you're slurping on that free treat, allow me to put an old song back into your head: the slurpee song.

It's true! Back in the 70's, 7-Eleven took advantage of the "groovy" culture and released an entire single to go along with the drink. It was released on 45 RPM vinyl, and it was called "Dance The Slurp." Listen in:

There aren't many lyrics, aside from "Slurp Slurp," but people loved it. The vinyl was given away for free in stores, and people even requested it on the radio. These days, you can find the vinyl going for about $50 on Ebay!
