An Eastern Iowa man couldn't believe his eyes when he bought a scratch-off ticket.

We're no stranger to people around here winning big from scratch-off tickets. Within about the last six months, we've had four big winners from scratch-offs. One man won $500,000, another won $20,000, a Clinton man won $25,000, and a Marion man won $300,000. And that's only the scratch-offs.

But now, it would appear there's a lucky scratch-off for Iowans to get. We have a new winner from the Monopoly 20X scratch-off, which is the same game a Cedar Rapids woman won $50,000 on about a month ago.

The Iowa Lottery has announced that Jonathan Rasler from Princeton has won $50,000 playing the Monopoly 20X scratch game.

He got the ticket at Casey's in Princeton, marking the 6th top prize in the game that's been won.

Rasler said he was going to get the Iowa State Fair scratch-off but the store was out so he got the Monopoly one instead. When he scratched the ticket, he couldn't believe what he saw, telling the lottery:

I was like, ‘Wait a minute, there’s way too many zeroes there! I looked at it and looked at it, and then I read the top again about how you can win. I must’ve read that three times, and then I went back and went, ‘Man, I can’t believe this. That’s $50,000!

He said he plans to use the money to pay off the loan on his utility vehicle and will invest the rest.

Monopoly 20X is a $5 scratch game that has odds of 1 in 3.74.
