Feeling Sick? Give This OTC Combo a Try

Everyone I know has been sick lately, and CBS News reports that the flu is peaking right now. If you've been lucky enough to avoid getting sick thus far (like me), you might want to run to Walgreen's and grab these supplies to have on hand anyway. Supposedly, this combination of meds is magical when it comes to fighting the flu.

My sister, who is a teacher and is constantly barraged with germs, started feeling sick at work last Friday. By the time she got home, she had a 101-degree fever and chills. My mom had seen this post floating around Facebook lately, and my sister was willing to give it a try to avoid the long wait at the walk-in clinic.

She ran to the store, grabbed the Sambucol and Oscillococcinum, and took both. By Saturday morning, she was fever free and feeling much better. Other comments on the Facebook thread attest to the effectiveness of this combo, but I'll leave it up to you to decide.

Again, I am not suggesting you take these meds in place of Tamiflu or anything else, but it could save you a trip to the doctor's office if it works.
