Have You Heard Of These Slang Words?

Every state has an "official" something--a bird, a song, a food--but what about slang?

I've heard of a lot of these terms...except for the ones belonging to Iowa & Illinois.

Slate.com chose their favorite slang words from each state and came up with this list. Some are obvious ("Aloha" for Hawaii, "Hoosier" for Indiana, "Snowbird" for Arizona), but some are just plain weird.

I'm pretty sure most people FROM these states likely had no idea these words existed.
