There are some key components to being from the midwest. You tend to say "ope" a lot, you're nicer to people, and you see a LOT of cornfields. But, as the old saying goes, when life hands you ears of corn...

Make sweet corn ice cream?

It is an actual flavor available over at Here's The Scoop in the Village, thanks to a farmer from Port Byron. And I guarantee, that flavor won't be on any other ice cream menu in the midwest.

And that's not even the most exotic flavor on the menu. They have PB&J ice cream, Watermelon sorbet, and even Goat Cheese and Roasted Cherries. Personally, I stick to the dark chocolate – I'm not nearly adventurous enough for those.

The shop will be unveiling a new honeydew flavor soon too.
