If you've ever wanted to jump into the dance scenes in 'Dirty Dancing,' there's a place in Davenport where you can do just that.If you know anything about me at all, know this: I love to dance. So much so, I'll be dancing for the third year in-a-row for charity this Thursday, November 29, 2018 to benefit Livefit with Lupus.

In all the preparing for this show, thanks to a few good friends, I stumbled upon one of the best-kept salsa-secrets in the Quad Cities. Every Saturday night on the Hilltop in Davenport, after Greatest Grains closes, their side room turns into a salsa dance club so fun, you'll have moves like Baby and Johnny in no time.

The Quad Cities Salsa Collective is a volunteer group of dancers who have been meeting up for several years at various locations, including the former Rico's Island Cafe, until they closed down, leaving the group of dancers with nowhere else to dance. Thankfully, Greatest Grains stepped up to meet their needs and now, some pretty hot salsa has a home there.

Dance lessons start at 9 p.m. and then you can salsa all night until 1:30 a.m. It's only a $5 cover for the entire night and B.Y.O.B. No previous dance experience is needed. Just you, your best friends and your moves.

I feel like I stumbled upon the thing I wished I would have found years ago. I'm thrilled I found it and now, have to share it with you.

It's the most fun on a Saturday night I've had in awhile. I'm calling the ultimate girls night. Join me.
