An unfortunate turn of events for Iowa's 2015 'Bachelor' contestant.

Flashbacks of time spent with Chris Soules went through my mind as I read the details of the story. My own curious mind started thinking of the details prior to and after the accident, wondering what really happened. It's always hard to believe at first, especially when you have had time with someone or have met them. Having my best friend pass recently and suddenly, I started thinking of all the weird and shocking things that have happened.

If he's released from jail, he will have to surrender his passport and have an electronic monitoring device on his body as he awaits trial. If Soules is convicted, he could face 5 years in prision.

I remember meeting Chris Soules a year ago. I had just returned from the ACM awards in Vegas.  It was my first day back to work and I was surprised with an in-person interview in Davenport with the Iowa-farmer-turned-celebrity 'Bachelor.' The one thing I knew we had in common was our stints with dancing. Me, with the local 'Dancing with the QC Stars,' and Chris with the ABC show 'Dancing with the Stars.'  Watch the full interview below.

If you scroll in about 10 mins in the video, it's where I got some one-on-one time to ask him questions, interact and even dance with him.
