Kanye West Removes Tweets Related to President Trump
Remember when Kanye West tweeted about his meeting with Donald Trump in what seemed to be a show of support for the new president? Well, those tweets are suddenly gone, and according to TMZ, it was Yeezy's decision.
In mid-December, Kanye met with Trump at the Trump Tower in New York City. At the time, E! News reported that the two met to discuss “a potential role for the rapper,” and to possibly make 'Ye "an ambassador of sorts."
Shortly thereafter, Kanye posted to Twitter, "I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues. These issue included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago."
According to TMZ's sources, Kanye is very unhappy with President Trump's actions throughout his first few weeks in office. Apparently, the executive order banning people from seven majority-Muslim countries, along with other controversial decisions, have upset 'Ye and turned him against the 45th president. As a result, he has deleted all his pro-Trump tweets.
Remember, back in November, the Life of Pablo rapper showed support for Trump at a concert in San Jose for his St. Pablo tour. Shortly after that, Kanye had his breakdown, cancelled the rest of the tour and ended up in the hospital.
It's certainly interesting that Kanye has finally decided to change his mind about Trump. Hopefully, fans will get to hear some new music on the subject at some point.
