Lady Gaga may live for the applause, but she also knows when to give it back.

The pop star-turned-country-diva used Twitter on Thursday evening (October 13) to celebrate the brave women who have come forward to speak out against Donald Trump, particularly those who have shared their allegations of sexual abuse and assault.

Since the 2005 Access Hollywood video in which the GOP presidential candidate makes lewd, predatory remarks about women (including one married woman in particular who he admitted he attempted to seduce by buying her furniture...) was revealed on October 7, many women have come forward to share their harrowing personal stories about Trump.

After watching a report about the women on Anderson Cooper 360, Gaga, herself a survivor of rape who tackled the tender subject on her Oscar-winning song "Til It Happens To You," applauded the accusers for coming forward, as well as tried to shine light on why many survivors have a difficult time publicly sharing their experience with sexual assault.

"Thank [you] to the panelists @AC360 for explaining why women are coming forward now: because Trump's words [at the] debate sent abused women into a panic," she wrote in one tweet.

"Check out [and] trend #WhyWomenDontReport to have a better understanding," Gaga added in another post. "For me, it was like re-living it all over again. I applaud these women."
