One holiday season when I was a child my parents signed me up for a "cooking" class as Marshall Fields. It was the kind of thing where they showed us how to make some simple holiday sweet treats. We made them. They packaged it up real nice and by the end of the afternoon I had fun.

It seems Hy-Vee is doing something similar here in the Quad Cities. They're offering a Thanksgiving Kids Class for children seven to thirteen years old. According to the Hy-Vee website kids will "make turkey-themed treats and make thankful crafts."

The Thanksgiving Kids Class is Thursday November 15 from 5:30PM-6:30PM CT at the Northgate Mall Hy-Vee, 1823 East Kimberly Road in Davenport.  Cost is $10 per child.

If this is something you think the little ones in your life would enjoy doing. You can get them signed up by e-mailing kschaeffer@hy-vee.com. Here's a link to information on the class at the Hy-Vee website.
