I drive into work everyday on highway 61 north and drive by Credit Island Park. I noticed the Mississippi River has spilled over its banks in quite a few places and parts of LeClaire Park are blocked off.

Every spring, the river comes out of its banks. Some years have been worse than others. According to WQAD.com, the City of Rock Island is putting their flood plan into action. There are currently several water pump discharge hoses placed along the Rock Island portion of the bike path but all locations are marked. The path is closed at the Moline border.
