New Museum Opening In Davenport

It's time to celebrate. If you're a fan of jazz music and of the Quad Cities, there's a exciting new museum opening up in Davenport to celebrate the life of a legend.

According to the Quad City Times, a new museum in honor of Quad City jazz legend Bix Beiderbecke will open on July 24th in the basement of the RME.  The museum will be unveiled the week before the Quad-City Times Bix 7 and two weeks prior to the 46th annual Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival set for Aug. 3-5.

Bix passed away at the age of 28 in 1931.
