So, I'm a DJ on the side. I've played local bars and night clubs, as well as weddings and parties. I've even done the occasional school party. It's fun work. Sometimes, I complain about dragging gear around and the late nights, but I love every minute of it.

I can't imagine doing what I do with a disability. When I read a story about DJ Alex on WQAD.com, I was floored when I read he has Cerebral Palsy.

Cerebral Palsy is considered a neurological disorder caused by a non-progressive brain injury, or malformation that occurs while the child’s brain is under development. Cerebral Palsy primarily affects body movement and muscle coordination. Though Cerebral Palsy can be defined, having Cerebral Palsy does not define the person that has the condition.

I will never complain about hauling heavy gear or the late hours again. This guy is my new inspiration. Thanks, Alex.
