As if you NEEDED a good reason to drink champagne on New Year's Eve...

Research shows that drinking a few glasses of bubbly each week can actually help improve brain function and prevent memory loss!

The study--conducted by the University of Reading in 2013--suggests that certain compounds in champagne help stimulate signals in the parts of the brain responsible for memory storage, and that moderate consumption of champagne (one to three glasses per week) "may counteract the memory loss associated with aging, and could help delay the onset of degenerative brain disorders, such as dementia."

Try thinking about this the next time your head hurts from drinking too much champagne!
