Yesterday I was traumatized after reading a Quad City Times article about how bull sharks can swim up the Mississippi and have been found as far north as Illinois.

Naturally, I ruled the 'Sippi out for any summer swimming excursions - just to play it safe - and thought I'd just stick to lakes.

Nope, nope nope. ALL KINDS OF NOPE after I saw THIS.

There was a picture taken of a water snake with a catfish in its mouth in an Iowa lake! No thank you. I would like to keep my little marshmallow toes in tact all summer. Looks like I'll be sticking with the public pools to cool off.
