October 1st is tomorrow and there's a whole list of fall goodness including National Homemade Cookies Day.

Not only is October 1st National Hair Day and Nationa Fire Pup Day, but it's also a glorious day for the homemade baked cookie.

There's been a thing going on lately. My daughter loves to bake cookies. She is becoming quite the baker and has her best-ever recipe memorized. I can't wait until I can actually eat as many as I want (I've been on a specific diet to heal my metabolism). Until then, I truly enjoy the fresh baked cookie aroma in the house and seeing my children enjoy eating them.

October 1st has been dubbed National Homemade Cookies Day

My favorite fall cookies include:

Good old fashioned Chocolate Chip Cookies

No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Snickerdoodles

and anything that closely resembles Peanut Butter Cup Cookies.

Cookie making is fun by yourself (so you can eat the entire batch) or with the family. It's a great opportunity to set down the phones and technology and make some memories with your kiddos.

Embrace your inner-Betty Crocker and enjoy National Homemade Cookies Day tomorrow. Post your pics at B100 Quad Cities on Facebook.
