I truly don't know what we did to upset Mother Nature, but she is back with a vengeance this week. We're under a winter storm warning until later tonight, and a new one is on the horizon for Thursday and Friday this week.

We all know there's certain precautions to take in this weather right? We keep extra fluids in the car, extra layers of clothing and definitely an extra scraper or shovel. But there's one precaution that a lot of people are overlooking, silly as it seems.

In weather like this, it is actually very important to have your car washed more often. This advice comes courtesy of Allstate. According to the experts, "ice melt building up over winter can lead to damage to your car’s undercarriage."

As a result, they recommend getting your car washed at least every two weeks! (Assuming road conditions are safe enough to do so).
