The best public schools in the state of Iowa have been named and one QC school made the top three.

The good news is there are several that score A+ from Niche, the website that published the results of the rankings. The ratings are based on academics (60% of the total score), culture and diversity (10 percent), surveys on the overall experience of the school from both parents and students (10 percent), and a grade of the school’s teachers (10 percent). There are other factors, but they are scored at a much smaller percentage.

Three eastern Iowa schools received A+ rankings. The top high school in the Iowa Quad Cities is my alma mater, Pleasant Valley High School at number three and earned an A+. Bettendorf comes in at #13.
