Only In Iowa: Kayaking In A Cornfield

I've lived in the midwest my whole life. I've seen and learned a lot, and I can safely say "That's so midwestern" when I see certain things. But I've never seen this.

While the Quad Cities were boiling in heat over the weekend, parts of central Iowa got rain – a lot of rain. According to KWQC, they got 5-10 inches of rain in a span of about three hours. It might make driving rough, but one man found another way of getting around.

A fellow resident sent a photo to KWQC of a man literally kayaking down the road, in a flooded portion of the cornfields. Check it out here.

There's the old saying that life is about learning to dance in the rain. This is a new twist on that idea, but it works!
