What do you call a elephant at the North Pole? Lost!

According to WQAD, there is a elephant buried in a Monmouth front yard and Colorado archaeologist Shay Ottman plans to find it.

Nizie was a 600-pound dwarf elephant who was a featured part of Great Nicola's magic act during the 1930's. As the story goes, Nicola traveled from New York City to Monmouth in a cab with the elephant. Nizie spent time in the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago and died in 1934.

Ottman is using "space-aged technology" to locate the elephant remains. If Nizie is found, searchers will let her rest in peace.

Where do you let a 600-pund elephant lay? Yep...anywhere it wants.
