Finally, the Quad Cities gets what they've been waiting for.

Kimberly and Marquette Streets in Davenport is the place be Monday for the new opening of Popeyes. For months and months, the Quad Cities have been eagerly waiting the arrival of this particular franchise.

According to KWQC.com,

Franchisee Jay Wali says he has never seen this level of excitement in 27 years of operating Popeyes stores.

“The buzz and enthusiasm for the Davenport opening is the biggest we have experienced,” Wali, who runs eight other Popeyes, tells KWQC by email.  “This is the first time we have seen Facebook fan pages with thousands of people following every step of the process.”

The only thing that could be a bit of a hindrance is traffic. Popeyes has been known to cause some traffic delays in the past when they open new restaurants.
