If you've ever faced the dilemma of either stopping for coffee, or getting a protein shake instead. You can now do both. Starbucks has just introduced two new protein shakes. The Cacao Protein Blended Cold Brew and the Almond Protein Blended Cold Brew.

According to Delish.com the shakes are made by mixing cold brew with almond milk, pea protein and banana date fruit blend. The almond version of the drink mixes in almond butter, while the cacao version mixes in cacao powder and coconut milk for a chocolate taste.

A Grande cacao version of the drink is 250 calories while a Grande almond version of the drink is 270 calories and they cost $5.95. Starbucks suggests some ways you can customize the drink including: using a whole banana instead of the banana date fruit blend. Using more or less cacao in the drink. Even adding a shot or two of espresso instead of Starbuck's cold brew.

I checked and the shakes are available at Quad Cities Starbucks locations. You'll want to get them while you can because Starbucks is only offering them for a limited time!
