The numbers are up significantly for travel this weekend. Here's what you need to know.

I am usually one to steer clear of traveling on the heaviest traveled weekends. I enjoy a leisurely drive, not a hectic one. Hectic drives stress me out. As I blogged about yesterday, there is enough stress going on in the State of Iowa, based on my stress in Davenport, alone.

Travel this weekend is expected to increase by 700,00 partially due to better gas prices.

According to WQAD.com:

Other good tips include making sure your car battery is in good working order. I have found places like AutoZone to be very helpful in testing these things for you. You may want to call ahead to see if that is a service they offer. Checking your tires and brakes can also help you be best prepared for a weekend full of higher-risk travel.
