UPDATE: The homeowner in the incident, who wishes to have their name withheld, has confirmed that police have a suspect and they will be charged. They say a full police report will be released within the coming days with more information. Follow B100 for further developments in this story.

At 6:52 a.m. Sunday morning, security camera footage captures a woman taking packages from a home in Bettendorf's "Huntington Meadows" division near Forest Grove and Middle Roads.

The homeowner, who wishes to have their name withheld, said they were out of town, but saw that they had received boxes on the ADT app. When they arrived home, the packages were not there. After reviewing footage captured by their security camera, they found a woman walking to their porch, grabbing the boxes, and walking away.

The homeowner said they feel "violated" and thinks that this was a "very bold move."

The homeowner uploaded the video and a still photo of the woman to Facebook, along with her neighbor, Angie Champlin. Both have received hundreds of shares.

"Our neighborhood is so quiet and tight. I really never thought this could happen out where we all lookout for each other," Champlin said, "I get packages delivered all the time."

Champlin said she has a security system as well, but that doesn't seem to stop people from stealing.

In the video, an ADT sign is clearly visible on camera. The homeowner says if the thief would have looked up behind her, she would have seen the camera.

If you have any information on the woman in the video, contact the Bettendorf Police Department at (563) 344-4015.
