Several Roads Blocked by Flash Flooding

Police are warning drivers to avoid local roads experiencing flash flooding following an overnight storm that dumped 2 to 3 inches of rain.

Multiple roadways in Moline were closed early this morning, but as of 6:40 a.m.,the I-74 River Drive off-ramp is the only roadway still blocked by floodwaters.

In Davenport the following roadways are closed:

• Elmore Avenue north of 53rd
• River Drive and Marquette Street
• East River Drive at 4th and Federal Streets

Be sure to avoid all roadways with standing water, even if not blocked by police.
