This week I had the pleasure of sitting down to talk to Ron Danielowski from Pulse Combative Firearms Training.

They work in conjunction with Shooting Sports in downtown Moline and train through four stages of skill development:

  1. Mastering basic handgun manipulations in a personal defense scenario.
  2. Adding shotgun and rifle to the personal defense skills inventory, followed by introducing individual tactics for defense in home and on the street.
  3. Next are team tactics necessary to defend a single location like a school, church, or business.
  4. The training ladder culminates with small unit tactics for the defense of a community; like a neighborhood, village, or small town.

I also got to spend some time on the range with Ron and he was extremely helpful with everything from loading a gun to explaining proper form to stay alert and ready with your firearm.
