One of my very first discoveries when I moved to the Quad Cities was the incredible chocolate shop scene. There are so many shops to choose from, and I got lucky that one just so happens to be a 10 minute walk from my apartment.

Now there's even MORE good news, because science is on my side once again. A study from an Australian researcher proved that weekly consumption of chocolate improves brain function. Specifically, it helps "visual-spatial memory and [organization], working memory, scanning and tracking, abstract reasoning, and the mini-mental state examination."

So, when you're indulging in your guilty pleasure truffles, or a s'more at a bonfire this summer, now you don't have to actually feel guilty.
