Even under the influence of meth, this wouldn't seem to be a very good idea!

According to KCRG, officers responded to the area of Ninth Avenue and Eighth Street at 11:50 p.m. Monday evening for a report of a suspicious subject. Police located 46-year-old Genio Ruiz and a woman walking in the area and stopped to speak with them. When officers spoke with Ruiz, they detected a “chemical odor” on him.

Police searched Ruiz and found 16.5 grams of marijuana on him. As he was being handcuffed and placed under arrest, police found a 20-ounce pop bottle tucked in the waistband of Ruiz’ pants and obscured by his sweatshirt. Buelow said there was a “cloudy substance” in the pop bottle containing lithium battery strips. The container is what is known in law enforcement as a “one pot” style meth lab.

Ruiz was taken into custody and faces several charges, including manufacturing a controlled substance. [KCRG]
