Suspicious Item Delays Boarding at Quad City International

UPDATE: The security checkpoint is open and operations are continuing following a security incident this morning.

It has been confirmed that the Quad Cities bomb squad was on scene and cleared the suspicious item detected by an X-ray image.

TSA has not released further information on the incident.

ORIGINAL STORY: Passengers are not allowed to board any flights at Quad City International Airport due to a a security issue.

A screening checkpoint has been closed due to a "suspicious image" detected by an X-ray.

Law enforcement is on scene and is currently investigating.
