Whether you're looking to volunteer, donate or participate, here's what's happening this week to celebrate Thanksgiving in the Quad Cities.

Tuesday, Nov. 21Friendly House's annual Neighborhood Thanksgiving Luncheon, 1221 Myrtle St., Davenport. Dinner is at noon. Everyone is welcome. In addition to a traditional Thanksgiving feast, there will be entertainment and free family or individual photographs. Free.

Thursday, Nov. 23Christian Care Thanksgiving Meal, 2209 3rd Ave., Rock Island, noon to 2 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. with a complete Thanksgiving dinner served. Pies, cakes and salads are needed to complete the meal. Those interested in donating should call 309-786-5734 and ask for Kenny.

Thursday, Nov. 23: Community Thanksgiving dinner hosted by Bob Vogelbaugh, Mr. Thanksgiving, SouthPark Mall, Moline. Complete Thanksgiving dinner served. Serving, 4-6 p.m. Free transportation is provided by MetroLINK. For reservations for pickup, call 309-788-3360 by noon Tuesday.

Saturday, Nov. 25: The public is invited to celebrate Thanksgiving with local veterans for the one- year anniversary of the Quad-Cities Veterans Outreach Center from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at 250 W. 35th St., Davenport.

Doors open at 10 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11 a.m. Veterans will receive a free turkey and food basket. Free winter accessories such as hats, gloves and blankets will also be provided. For more information, call 563-529-4782.
