‘The Best Fried Chicken in the World’ is Just North of the Quad Cities

Chicken lovers, you'll want to visit this place ASAP.

About 45 minutes North of Davenport is Bluff Lake Catfish Farm in Maquoketa. According to Only in Your State, the farm serves up the best fried chicken you can find anywhere.

Bluff Lake is an all-you-can-eat restaurant, and on Sundays, you can get heaping plates of fried chicken that they claim is "as good as grandma's." Obviously, they also serve up catfish (on Fridays, along with prime rib), as well as filleted haddock on Saturdays, and fried shrimp on Sundays with the chicken.

And since Bluff Lake is situated in the middle of a beautiful wooded landscape, next to a waterfall, the views are just as astounding as the food.

Be warned, Bluff Lake is only open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but tomorrow is Friday, so make your weekend plans accordingly.
