The Boys Of Summer Return This Week

I'm super excited this week. The boys of summer return on Sunday. Major League Baseball kicks off Sunday with my 2016 World Champion Chicago Cubs taking on their rivals the St. Louis Cardinals that evening. Man, that feels good saying that. The Cubs are the defending champs.

I'm going to a couple Cubs games. I can't wait to see what they have done with Wrigley this year.

I heard this morning that the Quad City River Bandits are making some changes for 2017. They have upgraded the on-field lightning to LED lights. This will save both the team and the City of Davenport about 40% on the power bill.

The team also unveiled a new logo. It's the eyes of the teams mascot "Bandit." The logo also glows in the dark. That should add even more light on the playing field.

The River Bandits kick of the 2017 season Thursday, April 6th against Wisconsin at Modern Woodman Park.

I love baseball. I can't wait for this season. Take me out to the ballgame!
