The Col Ballroom Is Shutting Its Doors

A legendary QC venue is unfortunately shutting down. According to a post on The Col Ballroom's Facebook, they will be shutting the doors on October 29th.

The full statement reads:

It is with sincere regret to inform you that The Col Ballroom will be closing it’s doors October 29th. With my whole heart I thank you all so very much for doing business with me. I very much enjoyed being a part of your weddings, quinces, birthdays, and many other celebrations held here at the Col. Please join me and my family at our final event, SoulFest 2018 on Friday, October 26th. Though it will be a night of love, happiness, dancing, and laughter I cannot help but admit for me, it will be one of sadness and heartbreak. I truly love the Col Ballroom more than anyone would ever know and it has kept me very busy following the death of my husband but it’s time for me to move on to the next chapter in my life

The venue will have one last event on October 26th, featuring Soul Storm, Smooth Groove and more.

It's real sad to see The Col go. People have wedding memories there, birthday memories and of course, concert memories. The Col Ballroom has played host to national acts like The Beastie Boys, and local events like 97X's Holiday Blues Bash.
