It's the time of year when everything gets a little spookier. And there's nothing more fun than scaring the bejeezus out of yourself by visiting a haunted house during the Halloween season. We've rounded up some of the best scare spots in the QCA that are sure to leave you terrified.

Torment at Twelve Hundred 

Torment has been ranked as one of the top ten haunted houses in Illinois by USA Today in the past, and it's no surprise. Each season, Torment reveals a new chapter in their ongoing horror saga. This year's chapter, entitled The Pursuit, promises to be downright horrifying.

Address: 5030 N. 1200th Ave. Orion, IL (14 miles Southeast of the QC)

Admission: $15 per person

Hours: Weekends through Halloween. Fridays and Saturdays from 7PM-Midnight, Sundays and Halloween from 7PM-10PM.

Factory of Fear

The largest indoor haunted house in the QC with ten new rooms added in 2015, Factory of Fear promises an amazing season of terror. 'Blackout nights' on October 16th, 23rd and 30th mean the venue will be darker than normal, and full of scary surprises around every corner.

Address: 5027 4th Ave, Moline.

Admission: $15 general admission, $5 off at the door for active military, $1 off for canned food donation, and $3 off for unwrapped new toy donation for Toys for Tots. Customer appreciation night is October 1st- tickets will be $10 from 7-10.

Hours: Every weekend through Halloween, 7-Midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, 7-10 on Sundays and Halloween.

Shock House

Shock House claims to 'assault your senses' as you make your way through the attraction. Murderous clowns and bloody zombies await you, and a special 3D section guarantees a whole new level of terror.

Address: QCCA Expo Center, 2621 4th Ave, Rock Island.

Admission: $15, VIP Fast Pass is $20, Zombie paintball is $5, entry free with military ID.

Hours: September 30-Oct 1, Oct 7-8, 13-15, 20-22, 27-29. 7-10 Thursdays, 7-Midnight Fridays and Saturdays.

QC Haunted Forest

 

Go for a walk through the haunted woods...If you dare. Chain saws, sinister clowns, and plenty of thrills from the undead are what you can expect from this creepy stroll through the forest.

Admission: $15

Hours: Open Fridays and Saturdays from October 7-29, from 7-11 PM.
