Thousands Without Power in Illinois Quad Cities

UPDATE: Power has been restored in the outage area.

ORIGINAL STORY: MidAmerican Energy is reporting nearly 4,000 customers without power in Henry, Mercer and Rock Island Counties.

At 11:55 a.m., 278 were without power in Andover, 932 in Orion, and 331 in Sherrard.

The rest of the outages were throughout the three counties.

Crews have identified the problem as wind affecting the equipment.
