When you think about St. Patrick's Day do you think of green beer and binge drinking at Irish bars in the Quad Cities? Here's three family fun things you can do this year that don't involve alcohol.

1. The Quad Cities Grand Parade. Bring the kids and get ready for the only Bi-State St. Patrick's Day parade in the USA.

2. On Friday you can take the kids to see The Greenmore Irish Duo at the Moline Library from 12-1 p.m. Bring a lunch and enjoy some traditional Irish music.

3.Before the parade on Saturday, March 12, it’s CASI’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Race. Three different race categories offer everyone a distance they can have fun with. All start at the River Music Experience Courtyard, 129 Main St. in downtown Davenport, Iowa.  Three race categories are offered: 9:00 a.m. Tot Trot; 9:30 a.m. 1-mile Family Run/Walk; 10:00 a.m. 5K Run/Walk.
